From Naama Tsabar:

Barricade is a series of works composed of twelve to sixteen microphones arranged in a triangle or square formation. The microphones cables line the floor in formal composition, reflecting the path of transmitted sound. Each side's output feeds directly through a Transition canvas on the wall.

The spatial arrangement of the microphone stands act as both barrier and enabler as the performative space is compressed physically and sonically. Performer and performance are contained inside the borders of the triangle or square. Upon activation, sound is transmitted out to the separate Transition works on the gallery walls, then projected back to the center of the space, filling the acoustic environment with resonant frequencies.

Barricade was presented at Elevation 1049 festival in Gstaad, Switzerland in January 2019. Vocal composition was created in collaboration with Lindsay Powell (FIELDED), Naama Tsabar, and Wolf Weston.
